I just bought a used xbox because mine broke and I want to hook it up to xbox live. But I don't want wires going through my whole house. So I planned on using a wireless router. The only problem is, is that I know nothing about them. So I was wonering what I'll need to be able to hook my xbox to xbox live using a wireless router. (what equipment will I need, and what is the best deal)?

It's actually quite easy, i did the same thing. Just plug in your wireless router as you normally would, xbox has a special wireless system you can buy in stores for around 80$ or there are others you can buy that are compatible. It hooks directly into your xbox. Keep in mind though, you have to buy two seperate routers for this, it can be quite expensive. Heres a link to the xbox version one.

Well, if the Xbox will handle sending signals wirelessly (which I'm not too sure that it can, you might want the 360 for that), making it connect wirelessly to the wireless router would be easy. You could get any kind of wireless router, most any will do. Make sure you get one compatible with your type of internet connection. You can configure the router via the instructions it comes with and a PC. Once configured, you should be able to connect to it with your Xbox.

I would highly recommend looking into whether or not a normal Xbox has wireless capability first though. I really don't think that it can.

confident yet I even have heard its a substantial soreness. The instant on Xbox and ps3 are typical notoriously for no longer working yet confident that's obtainable so which you would be able to attempt. If all fails, i could only use an ethernet cable.
