1001 isn't evenly divisible by 2, 3, nor 5, the first three primes. It is, however, divisible by 7, and 1001/7 = 143.

u find the number=square root(1001), then u see if the number square root(1001), or square root(1001)-1, or square root(1001)-2...and so on is a divisor for 1001. then that is the greatest integer divisor of 1001.

PS 143 is not a prime number because 143=11*13, therefor is not a divisor of 1001
