hi! my name is Meghan. I'm 22 and I'm a lesbian. I came out to my parents about 2 months ago and they took fairly well. Since then I've been to a few gay clubs a few times but have not yet told my parents because I don't know how they'd handle that. I also can't stay as long as I want to at the club because they would probably be suspicious; so I go home earlier than I would like to. They would never think of me as a club kind of girl anyway, not to mention gay club. Unfortunately I have lied to them a few times about where I've been going out and not telling them that I have really been going to a gay club. I am running out of things to tell them and don't know what I should say ; I want to go back to the gay club this weekend but don't know what to tell them; or if I should lie again or not. I hate lying. help!!

Why do you have to specify what kind of club you are going to. Just say hey I am going to the club this weekend. You dont say, hey I am going to the straight club so why would you say gay club!!!

The key point in all this is you are doing something you claim you hate doing.
What is the root of why you are doing this?
Stop lying.
This can be done by you stopping the behavior which you feel you must lie to cover up.
Or you can continue the behavior and accept the shame of the Truth.
The decision is yours.

honestly, they probably already know what you're doing. it's difficult to hide secrets from good parents. you've already told them you're lez, just tell them now you're trying to discover more about the homosexual community, maybe looking for a partner. if they are understanding about your orientation, i'm sure it won't bother them much more that now you're just lookng for friends (or more) like you
