Law Studies would be a good bachelor before law school. Lawyers are always in demand, especially if you live in or near a big city like New York.

I work in Corporate Law Firms in NYC and starting salary for a lawyer is $90,000.00 a year. If you work, in another town or for a smaller firm, I would say starting is $75,000.00. Try salarywizard.com and enter your zip and position and it will let you know what the salary is for that area.

Law schools don't care what bachelors you get. So, the key is to do it in a subject you're interested. Very helpful if it's in the area of law you plan on practicing in (if you know what that is).

There's always a demand for lawyers. However, that doesn't mean there are a ton of high paying jobs out there. Check www.greedyassociates.com Starting salaries at the big firms should be $100K - $125K. It was $125K when I came out a few years ago, but I haven't kept up since. However, many lawyers only earn $40K or less. $30K is not unheard of. In CA, gov't jobs start around $40K, but you can hit $80K in not too many years.

A lot of it depends on what school you went to and what your law school grades were.
