That would be me. I have been in a relationship for 5 years now and have never really made any plans for Valentines day. Either I am working or he is working. Thats always the case.

Valentine's Day is a great concept, however, I feel it's more a ploy to find a reason to get consumers to spend spend spend. My little girl will get something, however, my husband and I have agreed that a nice "love you" card is more than enough. We're going to to out to a romantic dinner at the end of February instead and call that our "Valentine's date", however, it's really just an excuse to justify going out to a nice restaurant and splurging on a babysitter. We only get to do that a few times a year. HA!

Even though my husband and I both agree that Valentine's day is cheesy and we tell each other we love each other everyday and we thing that Hallmark made it up to make money we are going to a hotel here the day after and spend it alone. We aren't going to make it a big deal because we both agree that it's a waste of money since your suppose to show the one you love and tell them everyday not just on one day. It's not really for Valentine's day though because we can do it any old day and it's the day after but we are doing it to spend sometime alone because with his dad living with us that's impossible so it's not really for valentine's day.

I am in a steady relationship and have no plans. This is because I hate commercial holidays. I prefer to show I love my spouse every day in little ways, and he prefers it this way, too. Most of all, he shows he respects me, which means I don't have to be patronized on one day of the year. I mean, we go out and have fun and get each other presents throughout the year. I'm not against it, it's just not for me.

I don't. But our anniversary is this Friday, so that kinda overshadows it. Also, my best friend's birthday is on Valentines day, so I always try to spend time with her that day.

My fiance and I don't have plans yet. But it's not really a big deal for us. Just another day, only with this one, we'll probably exchange small gifts. Big deal. :-)
