Hi,
I'd recommend using a browser that has the facility to block popups better than Internet Explorer. Try Firefox and download the 'Adblock' extension/add-on. This allows you to customise all the popups/adverts that appear in Firefox.
Changing your browser is a bit of a culture-shock at first but believe me, it's worthwhile in the long run - Internet Explorer, which is has improved enormously over the years, is still rampantly exploited by hackers, virus writers, etc.
If you've been infected with 'malware' (virus/trojan/whatever) you can use several products to try and clean your machine. Two of the free ones are "Spybot Search and Destroy" and "Adaware).
A great product is Xoftspy but it's not free! However, it has been a saviour for many people.....
Hope this helps :)

Download a popup blocker, you can get most of them free and they block nearly all advertisments popping up.
You can at anytime disable this feature and allow them to appear when you go on websites. Or alternatively you can set the blocker to block all popups from all websites, and then you can allow popups from your selected fave sites etc.
Search free pop up blockers on Google :)

stop clicking on pop-ups when they come and close them out. you need a good spyware program to eliminate this problem. your computer is probably infected due to where you have been or what you have opened. you're not really going to get a free gift for clicking on that screen! at least not what you want!
