it sounds kinda weird but i actually lightly spread toothpaste on the disc then i use a damp papertowel to wipe it off and it has always seemed to work.

Here is what I use on small scratches on CDs. Put a small dab of toothpaste on your finger tip and use that to buff out the scratch. Afterwards, wash the toothpaste off with water and dry the disc. There will be a cloudy spot on the disc but it will play.

It depends how deep the scratch is.. minor scratches and etc, I use mayonaise. The fat in it covers the scratch and it works great. You just scoop up some mayo, place it on the disc, rub it around lightly and then rinse it under the water. They have some scratch liquids.. but its basically the same as mayo.

In USA, go to one of the big department stores in the video section, and they will have cd/DVD repair kits for sale.

I would say the repair kits with the liquids are crap. you want to get a cd buffer that plugs into an outlet. Ive used both and have experinced only the buffer to work.
