It's probably a codex problem. That means your software is lacking a file to allow you to hear your video. Update your video player (generally found in the tools or help menu).

Try watching the movie with another media player, eg. Windows media player, Real, Quicktime etc.
It may just be a missing codec from the player you've been using.
Does it still happen? Try another pc to see if the error continues. It could be a corrupt file etc.

i had the exact same problem for a while.. i downloaded a driver from the
" free reviews and downloads " website - google it..
worked great ever since

worst case scenario...faulty earthing might have blown somechip on ur sound card...i know...it happeed to me once...(that is ofcourse if none of the above suggestions made work out ofcoursse)
