I have a 2005 Nissan Maxima, which goes through about 20 gallons a week (commute is 27 miles each way). This is also the car that does all of our family driving.
My wife has a 2005 Nissan Altima which is rarely used beyond taking her back and forth to work. It goes through about 8 gallons a week.
So total is about 132 gallons; add on probably 18 for "extra" (family trip) driving to 150 gallons.
At $2 a gallon, $300 a month, give or take a bit.

$3140.00, average per month, for last year. Of course, that's for an 18 wheeler. In my four wheeler, it's less than $20.
