Look around for local talent contests. Have you seen the new show, America's Got Talent? Look them up online, and see where & when the nearest audition is. Theres my ideas on it.
Good Luck!

Also I discourage moving to California. True, that's the place where stars are made. But so many people go there to get "discovered" that there's a high chance an 11 year-old would get overlooked...or not taken seriously. If you insist on pursuing a musical career, begin where you are. Get known in you hometown for your exceptional voice, then your county, state, region...etc.

First and foremost... Make some videos of you singing popular or well known songs and put them on youtube, myspace, or anywhere else you can. Then look for any singing competitions in your area. some small ones may be free but if you are really serious you should pay to get into a more notable one because often times producers are at those. And just try anything to get your name out there. good luck

See my answer for your other question. The odds are completely stacked against you. Those American idol winners don't usually get much out of their music until their third or so album. You should stay in school, unless you AND YOUR PARENTS are completely devoted to this, then try out with one of the big five or and independent label. If you don't know the big five, learn them. If you don't know much about music styles, or patent laws, you're in trouble. Just read my other answer.

I would first put her in a school of arts, one that focuses on music and arts so that she can enhance her skills. Then I would move to LA, because everyone knows that you have a better chance at being found in CALIFORNIA. Good Luck...

hmmmmm, first thing is it depends on wheter she is actually a good singer.find a singing teacher/vocal teacher and ask her what she thinks.she might have some contacts too!.i dont really know what to do next, since you cant realistically get a record deal at that age.try auditioning for musicals perhaps?get some attention?

Sure one can. yes.......She'd just have to compete with about 6,000 other talented 11 year old girls after the same goal.
