hello, i think i am due on for my period around now maybe in a couple more days. i took two clearblue digital pregnancy tests which both came back pregnant. but i also took some cheapy tests and a first response that came back so faint positive. the first response was a positive but really faint. the cheap ones were debatable.

i've heard that the clearblue digital pregnancy tests can give false positives. can they do that twice?

i went to the doctor and he did no tests and just assumed i am pregnant and told me to book in with the midwife in a couple of weeks.

i'm having alot of pregnancy symptoms including morning sickness- all day!

anyone have any insight? shouldn't they be dark bfp's by now? i hate to ask the obvious but do you think i am pregnant?

Sarah

snowbaby- this is our first month ttc and i just can't believe it. i'm just worried that it could have been a chemical pregnancy because the tests are so light. i don't want to get my hopes up.

thanks for all your replies!

Yes - you are pregnant - congratulations - Clear Blue is very accurate.
When you used the cheaper tests - it might not have shown up because they are cheap - maybe the chemicals in the cheaper test that read your hormones in your urine were not very strong
Wishing you lots of luck for the future.

You're pregnant. I think that's obvious. I think you also don't want to be pregnant so you're trying to find all the ways it could be wrong. False positives are very rare, so that's not what happened. And you don't get 4 positive test results and come back not pregnant. I'm sorry to be harsh but you need to examine why you are so against this pregnancy and make a decision.

I have been disappointed with clear blue before but yet i am carrying my fourth baby now.
And i have also had the doctor tell me i wasnt pregant with a urine test and two days later i just had a hunch i was and asked him to do a blood test.
Alot of doctors now days will not even see you till the seven week to confirm i would just go on as if i were and try to relax. IF the cheap ones had a faint line that is normal sometimes it takes them awhile ..good luck

It sounds like your pregnant. The cheap tests might not have shown a positive because they couldn't detect as low an amount of the hormone as the clearblue ones. If you wanted a test and the dr didn't want to give you one then you might want to consider switching dr's before you get too far along in the pregnancy when it would be harder to switch.

Congrats.. calm down. That many tests.. they all should not give a false positive. Start taking a prenatal vitamin or folic acid 400 mcg. Ask the doctor to order a beta quant blood test and see what your numbers are. That way you can be 100%.. lol. I hope you have a great pregnancy and good luck.

well sweetie maybe you should take an e.p.t. they are the best. even if one of the lines is faint you will know whether you're pregnant or not. you get your results within 2-3 minutes. try it...if your doctor didn't test you and told you to book a midwife maybe you are, but take the ept first or even go to a clinic that gives free pregnancy tests. wish you the best.

Yes, sounds to me like you are. When I went into my first prenatal appointment, they did not do a pregnancy test either. I was a little shocked by that so I asked for one, but instead they did a vaginal ultrasound and sure enough I am now 26 weeks pregnant! Just book your appointment and ask them for a pg test, I am sure if you have any doubts they will try to accommodate you as much as possible. Good Luck.

Congratulations, you're pregnant. You're just not ready to hear it.

One false positive, maybe. 2 clearblues, cheapy tests, and a first response? No chance.

You are pregnant, just not ready to hear it.

I wish you the best.

It's ridiculously rare to have a false positive. If the test says you're pregnant - congrats! It's time to call the doctor.

Any line is a line, providing you took the test properly... end of story. Faint or dark. Congratulations
