I have just purchased a Bestway comfort quest air mattress, which says easy inflate on the box but no instructions on how to inflate, there is a valve with a small thin rubber wire type through the hole in the valve. Is this anything to do with inflating it?

there is usually three ways to inflate an air mattress one is to blow it up yourself, two is to use a hairdryer to do so and three is to pull a wire such as you speak of so I would think that you would just pull the wire and it should inflate and of course somewhere it had instructions on how to do it but i would pull the wire and see what that does

You need a tube with a valve, and to attach it to a face mask, so that when you breathe out whilst you're sleeping it fills the mattress up. Sounds silly, but theoretically it's possible...
