If you take too much time on the toilet, you can force blood into the vessels around the anal opening.

This is also the cause of hemorrhoids, which are simply swollen veins.

When you go to the bathroom, just relax and let it out. Don't "push" and don't spend more than a few minutes.

If you are older, blood can also indicate intestinal polyps, or even cancer.

Are u sure it comes out of ur anal opening? As u have said that it happens after defecating, so i deduce that u have piles or hemorrhoids. Did u have constipation for a long time? If yes the most possible reason is piles. Get it treated soon as it can lead to other complications including cancer. Have lots of fresh veggies and drink at least 10 glasses of water everyday. Don't eat spicy and sour food as it'll aggravate the situation. Hope that u get well soon.

If you are consitpated, most likely, you have a small tear in your anus called a fissure. Whenever you have a bowel movement, it will open the fissure and cause it to bleed. If you have to hold on to the toliet seat whenever you have a bowel movement def eat more fiber! If you have alot of cramping or see lots of blood on toliet paper or in toliet, please call a doctor. Another possibility is ulcers. I'm not a doctor. But I have experienced the same
