I think that people often confuse love with infatuation and other so called feelings. This is especially true if you're prone to "falling in love" with someone on day one. Accordingly these people tend to focus on the most attractive qualities of the object of their affection, and then create a sort of fantasy that cements their significance in their own life.
On the opposite side, the person who is being pursued might not feel like they have that same sort of connection, which sometimes causes the other person to gain more intense feelings for them, as they want what they can't get.

The true mistery of love...can you earn it? Does love mean that the other has to love in return? No. Love can go unanswered but the pain that it causes the other is real. True love stands the test of time but like other human emotions can be misdirested, misunderstood and miscommunicated. If you love someone..tell them. If there is any hope of the love in return sometimes it takes time. I believe however, that love comes together if it is to come at all. Human beings are complex creatures. We can love and then decide not to due to circumstances like hurt feelings. Then there is the obvious like attraction. Some of us fall in attraction and then it developes into love. I think that it is more the case of getting to know and love someone. If love is there the realtionship will grow. Keep in mind that all relationships take work. Love sometimes takes work. On ourselves.

it can't be like from the day one but yes if we on the first sight then it doesn't matter whether they love or not because we had loved them and we can't forget that person easily who had touched our heart. We continue till we realize that the person is close to us and when the person is far way from us then we forget that person with time but the time period is independent and varies with the person thinking.
It's also like we usually run after those things which we can't get easily.

because we have no choice. We love the person, we don't know why, love just happens, we don't pre-plan it. The opposite party does not respond the love, in fact, does not love at all, again, we don't know why ? We have no choice but to love without getting love in return. The heart wants this badly, because it loves, and tries desperately to cling to this love, thought it is empty.

Attraction is a weird thing. The chemical responses that your brain triggers can make you feel giddy and "in love" Usually, it's really lust that we
confuse with love. Try to focus on other things. With time your feelings will fade. Mutual love is healthy and more fulfilling. have a great year.

Because you see something in them that you strive for.
You respect them
They make you want to be a better person.
There is love, then there is LOVE...
Even though they might never love you back, you can still have the respect, admiration and strive to be better because of them.
Then, you can be that better person for the one who does fall in love with you.

Because you cannot really love someone in the truest sense of the word unless you like them. You cannot like them unless you know them and a true love requires time. Day one is lust and that is fleeting.
