I'm overwhelmed with the amount of stuff I need to buy. For other moms and pregnant women, what stuff did you buy online and what did you buy in-store? Not sure I'm going to have a baby shower. Thanks!

Try to avoid the temptation of cute itty bitty newborn clothes, babies grow very fast. Try and buy mostly 3-6 mos. or 6-9 mos. in clothing and just a few 0-3 mos. sleepers and outfits. Also a convertible crib that turns into a toddler bed, then a full size headboard is good to have. A baby swing is a good investment to soothe a fussy baby. Best of luck to you.

From a mom of four and a god mother of five. Here is what you need. Baby t-shirts get onesises. They snap at the bottom get 12 they come in packs of 3 get the three months size. One pack of newborn diapers you will only need them t'll the stump falls off. 12 cloth diapers for using when burping the baby. Even if you plan to breastfeed get bottles the kind with the liners they come in a box set with liners and all at target & a breastpump. 12 sleepers again the kind that snap up the front. Get a playpen that has a top for babies it is better then a crib for a newborn so baby can be in your room but you can use later too. A car seat/stroller combo. Nothing better for getting baby out of the car and around. A baby bath tub look for one that goes up and down so a little baby can be put in it. A baby quilt. get one in yellow unless you know the sex of the baby. And here is one no one thinks of start to freeze easy to mirowave meals so you can just pop it in. And i always just go to target.

well the first two years for my son i bought the clothes in thrift stores. they out grow them fast and its cheaper then regular stores. you buy a sleeper in walmart for $10+ and thrift store about $2. baby furniture you can also get in thrift stores or look in the paper for sale ads. people usually list on how long they had it for. and you may find the one you really like for quarter of the price marked in stores. theres also second hand stores that are for parents and babys. the items that are usually in there look brand new but are second hand and cheap. baby showers i have been to people usually give what parents need the most such as diapers. can never have too much of them. good price strollers are in walmart. if you arent planning your own shower talk to a friend and drop hints of what you are looking for and in need of. maybe friends and family will chip in .

Two words....garage sales!!!! You can get tons of gently used baby stuff at garage sales.

The only thing we have to buy from the store is a car seat!
