Sleeping is actually important. It is better keep the partner rested and in a good mood.There is nothing wrong about sleeping in the separate room.

I would get checked for sleep apnea. I have it so I wear a breathing mask to help me breathe when I sleep. No more snoring... Earplugs work good too though.

My husband is a loud snorer, I got some earplugs and the problem is solved. Just make sure they still let you hear the alarm.
