No, it doesn't necessarily mean she is pregnant. If she has been having unprotected sex, I would advise her to take a pregnancy test.

there are some good answers here, which is nice. and then there is a lot of attitude, which is too bad.
anyways, if your friend has been having unprotected sex, a week is enough time that she could get a pregnancy test. but, so that she can relax a little (although i can totally understand her concern) being late for your period does not always mean you are preg. all that the other girls wrote is true: mood, anxiety, etc (anything that changes your hormones) can all disrupt your period. another thing is this: i am assuming your friend is younger than 22? 20? even younger?? just a guess from the situation. anyways, being a teenager basically means your hormones are going crazy. so, your friend's period can be off whack just for that. even if she takes care of herself. from my own life, i thought i was preg 100 times when i was younger, basically just being stupid, not using condoms, etc. tell your friend it's really important she take care of herself. and that means thinking a little in the future. what would she really do if she were preg?!! or an STD?? that would change her life. so, tell her to be smart and that using a condom is more important than anything-- even if it seems like it'll be okay. bad things happen to people all the time. we've got to be smart and take care of ourselves.

No, not necessarily. Her are some other reason her period could be late, or skipped. I would definitely consult a Dr. just in case.
Stress and anxiety (Most common cause)
Excessive exercise
Drastic weight reduction
Hormonal imbalance (such as with poly cystic ovarian syndrome) Also quite common
Endocrine disorders
Other illness
Medications, including birth control pills and other contraceptives.
Take a test if none of these are obvious reasons. Good Luck.

I would say no,it could mean that she is stressed out ,gaining weight, changes in her life making her become late with her period. But if shes having unprotected sex ,then i would suggest that she should consider that she may possible become but i wouldnt freak out or stress herself out even more ,then Im sure that she already is.I would buy a test next week and go from there. If she experiences any syptomns then , i would recomend all her options if she is pregnant.Good luck to your friend.

Probably not. She could be having troubles with her hormones. you know women and hormones. she could be stressing herself out by worrying. tell her to try and not worry as much. what's one week? If she starts having any other symptoms than she should see her doctor or even go and buy a HPT, there are some that are good as missing 5 days. Good Luck!

No one knows for sure, silly! She might be, she might not be. Tell her to take a pregnancy test and to quit freaking out- no point in freaking out about something she doesn't know for sure. And tell her, also, about these little things they sell at stores that can prevent pregnancy AND STDs. They are called condoms.

try a little thing called PREGNANCY TEST.they are great. Stress can also delay getting your period as well as STDs so your friend should go get checked. Tell her don't be worried until she finds out for sure, because the stress of the unknown is just adding to it all. GO GET CHECKED!!

It could mean that she is, but it doesn't necessairly. The only way to know is take a test, and after a week it should show up if she is. If she gets a negative result but still doesn't get her period after another week she should either take another test or go to the dr.

Maybe or maybe not. A delayed period can be caused by stress and other factors. If she had unprotected sex or even sex that was protected (sometimes birth control fails) then it is very possible she is. She needs to take a test.
