Gas is less dangerous than being constipated....I would say switch to Good Start! We always loved that formula with our daughter.

My daughter was constipated also. We did not change the formula, we just put a little Gerber Fruit Juice in her bottle. By little, I mean about 1-2 tablespoons. We did this for about one week and her digestive system was back on track. It could take the baby a while to get used to formula.

If the baby seems to be constipated, try adding 1/2 tsp. of Karo syrup to the bottle. My doctors have advised me to do this for my 3rd one, who has always had solid stools, and was constipated alot, as an infant. Try this first though. Then if not, change the formula.

We use Kirkland (Costco) brand and don't have problems with constipation or gas. I know one thing that can cause constipation is mixing it too thick, so make sure that you're following the directions exactly and not packing the measuring cup tightly.

i dont think it will hurt her!! My daughter is very gassy and always has a hard time going to the bathroom also. I use Baby Mylicon for the gas and mineral oil in her bottle which will ease the trouble of going to the bathroom!!

Good Start has wonderful formulas. However, if you continue to switch her it might keep acting her stomach up. Have you tried a soy-based formula? some babies can't handle the regular formulas, so they give them soy. If in doubt, always call the pediatrician, they usually know best.

You should always talk to her doctor prior to changing her formula. It is not good to keep switching from one formula to another. It is best to stick with one brand and one formula unless your doctor tells you to do otherwise based on the information you give them. There are other ways to fix constipation and other causes of constipation besides formula. Get professional help from your doctor.

Does this have iron because it could be the iron not the formula that is giving her the constipation.
