WOW! Des is doing Countdown? What happened to Des Lynum? I have been away too long. I cannot really see Des being good at doing Countdown though. There will always only be one Richard Whitely.

Don't worry, I heard from someone on Y/A that Carol has already signed to take over from the end of the year. She just had too many commitments at the end of last year. The guy on Y/A said he got the information from a mate who worked on the show. Personally I don't mind Des O'C but it will be hard for anyone to ever take Richard's place.

He's not great, but he is better than Des Lynham. Nobody will ever take the place of Richard though, he was a legend.
