Basketball was created back east where it snowed during the winter. Around the turn of the century, they wanted to have a sport that can be played inside. It is played in the summer Olympic because all the players are busy playing with there teams during the winter.

i actually know the creation of BB. It was invented not too long (mid 1900's) ago by a teacher. And it was meant to be a game the students could play inside during the winter. So from it's start it was a winter game even though it has nothing to do with the snow.

Because there is baseball being played in the summertime and once every four years the World Cup comes too and most people will most likely watch that over basketball.

Because that's the season for the Pros and the stadiums would be empty!
But maybe they sould play basket ball outside in the snow!
Good suggestion!
