I go in for my first OBGYN appt for my second pregnancy. I had a appt earlier but that was just to confirm pregnancy
I forgot what they did during the first visit. Will they do an ultrasound or will that come on the next appt? I am about 71/2 weeks along at this point. I know they will probably not do doppler even though my daughters heartbeart could be heard at 9 weeks
Will they just do paperwork and test me again?

I had two ultrasounds during my first pregnancy, one early on (I think 10 weeks) and one at 5 months (too check for sex etc..)

they will take a urine sample, blood test, take your weight, blood pressure, temp,pap smear you prolly won't hear the heartbeat yet and they prolly wont do an ultrasound just yet

They should do paperwork, physical exam, blood work, ask about what screening you would like to have done(genetics) and set up of the next appt i dont know about ultrasounds unless they think you are a high risk pregnancy or that they do multiple ultrasounds my OB only did one to determine the sex and findings of the babys growth and health at 5 months so maybe as well congrats and best wishes

My doc did a pap smear to test for any infections ect. at the very first appt. They took blood pressure, urnine, weight. Mine didn't to ultrasounds until around the 15-20 week mark unless he felt it was needed or if you are high risk.

They will probably order blood work for various purposes, give you information, check your vitals, and stuff like that. Depending upon your insurance the ultrasound will be on hold until the baby is @ 5 months gestation. Some do it earlier, some later.

my first visit was all about paperwork and a nice pap smear and tests.

they will do a urinie screan they do that each time. also they will get your wieght and blood preasure. they did a pap smear at my first appt so exspect you might get one too.
