Do you take the main road?

Or do you take the backroads?

I will go 10 minutes out of my way to dodge a traffic light!

i stay off the main roads as often as i can. the back roads are better... especially when they are muddy :D

I like to take the backroads; the "scenic route". Unless traffic is light and i can drive fast on the main road.

it all depends on what I am doing and where I am going
going to a specific place then I take the fastest route, and if that is the main road, then yes, going up north on vacation, take mostly 95 all the way
but when just out for a drive or a Sunday type drive always the back roads looking for adventure, and looking for a mom and pop type restaurant to stop and eat at

so I do both for many reasons
but the back roads are usually the most enjoyable

I try to take backroads or scenic roads if time isn't important. It's that much closer to where people live versus the big highways...

Noooo, main roads are far too congested. I prefer the backroads so I can throw enpty beer bottles at road signs.

I usually take back roads. But they usually provide a shorter route. I'll go the main road if it's shorter, or really snowy though.
