If I work for a company less than 6 months and got fired / laid-off. Will I received unemployment benefit from the government ( I live in California ) ? I work FT all the time for the past couple years. But switch job, currently with this company for 4 months and they gave me a hard time.

Yes, since you've been working FT for the past couple of years, you will have no problem.

they go back every 3 months to see what your highest earnings were. then they base that on what you will get per week. they will call your last employer to find out what happened. if they give a bad report you may not get it.
