There are several tips you can try...

1. Im sure you heard about pregnant women and crackers, well this actually helps. Try wo crackers before your head leaves the pillow in the morning.

2. Have sips of ice water as the urge to purge strikes. Many women say that this helps them keep meals down as well.

3. Avoid foods and smells that seem to trigger nausea. Sometimes this will be nearly every food or every smell.

4. Ginger, teas, cookies, even the spice can be helpful in preventing nausea.

I was sick all day with my first until the fourth month. The only thing that worked for me bananas and a ginger pill my husband purchased from a health food store. I learned that eating small amounts frequently to keep my stomach full helped too
When I got pregnant with my second I didn't need the ginger pill but I had a banana every morning before I got out of bed and the saltines work too but bananas have more nutritional value.

To reduce sickness I started taking my prenatal vitamin at night before bed (it can be hard on your stomach as I was told by my pharmacist neighbours), I avoided acidic foods in the morning like fruits and fruit juices, (maybe avoid a morning coffee if you drink it). I only consumed rather plain tasting/smelling foods like toast & peanut butter, cereal 'n' milk, and bagels with cheese. I didn't discover gingerale until this pregnancy. I'm not a pop drinker but somehow gingerale seems to settle my stomach when it starts to rise.

I am 17 weeks pregnant, and just getting over my sickness, you need to make sure that if you are hungry you make yourself eat, even if nothing sounds good, carry around small bland snacks, like pretzels and animal crackers, go to your nearest drugstore and get some Emetrol, it is perfectly safe, but you can ask the pharmacist if it makes you more comfertable. peanutbutter coats your stomach so that might be good to eat if you have one of those days were you do nothing but throw up. If it is still bad, ask your doctor about giving you some stronger nausea meds at your next appt.

Talk to your Doctor unless you want to end up eating soda crackers all day. I think they have medicine for morning sickness.....with most women it last a couple of months. Others it can last the whole pregnancy.

try starting your day with some dry toast or saltine crackers. ginger ale or sprite helps some too. i also kept some peppermint candies in my purse if i started to feel sick as well. if it doesn't get any better to the point that you are not gaining weight, ask your ob to prescribe something. my all day sickness was bad, but they just told me to take 1 or 2 dramamine about an hour before i ate. this worked wonders for me. but be sure to ask your ob before you do anything.

Take a vitamin B-6 with your prenatals and a snack at bedtime.

This WORKS!!! Once I started with the B-6 and taking my prenatal vitamin at night, my morning sickness disappeared.
