If you could visit any country in Europe, where would it be and why. I'm thinking about Portugal because I've heard that the people are really friendly and that it's a beautiful place. Do you have any tips about where I should visit, or you could tell me about some other country I should visit in the EU. The countries are so close together, maybe I could visit more than one.. What do you think? I want to visit somewhere new. Somewhere exotic, and something I've never experienced before. (If it helps, I'm American and I've lived in the Midwest most of my life.)

I wanted to write this in the best answer feedback, but I didn't have enough letters left so here it is:

Denard, I assure you, I will definitely not go to any racist countries, you mark my words. I wouldn't tolerate that, especially during my vacation.
And ErAs, I'm sure Turkey is great and thank you for all of those sites! I don't doubt that the food is great there and that there are alot of tourists but I'm not looking for a crowded place. But Turkey would be a place worth seeing. I'll see what I can do. But one question, is Turkey even a part of the EU? Not that it matters. Just curious. Anyways, thank you all for your answers and have a great day!

I think you should buy a train pass (eurorail) and visit them all! You can choose regions and you will have a great time. Portugal is nice, Spain, France, Italy, even Germany! I recommend doing this highly.

I am from Switzerland by the way : ) In the middle of all these lovely countries!

if u r really looking for difference, i suggest u to come Turkey. Turkey is the third country tourists mostly visited in Europa. u can do lots of things that can be very interesting. u can visit historical places in istanbul[1], also see the Bosphorus[2], orr can go to Cappadocia[3], Pamukkale[4] or places that i cannot finish by writing here. Turkish people are warm and famous with their hospitality. Turkish kitchen is one of the best kitchens in the world with its delicious meals and tastes. and u can have a cheaper holiday in Turkey without any difference in quality, even better than in any other country in Europa! check the pages of that i give the links in the bottom and check these pages in detail for more. if u make a search, u will see what i wrote here... u can also send me a message, if u have any question.. have a nice trip!

Italy is really nice. I've never been to portugal. I would go to a country whose food you like!
What time of year are you planning to go? It can be hot in southern Europe in the Summer.

I would visit Ireland. I've heard good things about it, especially that they are friendly to blacks. UK is too, but not so much the mainland, at least that's what I've heard. Also they speak english.

i live in europe now (originally from the usa) anywhere you go in europe is going to be exotic compared to the usa. pick a country, any country as no matter which one you go to you are going to get the experience of your life.
