This was a question in an aptitude test,I do not have the answer,but it would be interesting to see what the majority answer is.You only have 5 mins to answer this normally,but you can take as long as you want.....as long as you are convinced its right!! I shall reveal the majority answer when I can collate them. Cheers.Incidently the "?" represents a blank no. of which you need to find.

The answer is 9 and 3

from top left to right....3x9=27
3x18=54
3x27=81

9 id say, as all the numbers can be multiplied
example 9*9=81
3*9=27
6*9=54
2*9=18
etc thats the way id get my answer.!!!

they all part of x/y = 3

Its 9 and 3

27 ? 3 (3x9=27)
3 54 18 (3x18=54)
81 27 3 (3x27=81)

9 in the first box and 3 in the last.
The two smaller numbers in each column, when multiplied, equal the largest number.


I worked this out in about 1 minute, without even drawing the boxes or writing anything down.

This has to be one hell of an easy Aptitude test. What was it for?
