i am 17 weeks and i have been feeling baby moving since around 14 weeks (this is my second so i am sure its the baby) anyway is it normal to only feel it once in a while, like i can go some days and not feel anything at all and then other days like today i feel her quite a bit. does anyone know why that would be??

That is normal. I dont know why, but I felt the same thing around 14 weeks off and on, and it eventually got to be more often. This is my 4th baby.

I have had 2 children, they are 8 and almost 5 now. The baby is still small and the reason you are not feeling it sometimes is because of the position of the baby and simply the fact that the baby could be resting. Althoug if you go more than 24-36 hours with NOTHING, I would call my Dr.

That is SO normal. Until well after the 20th week, it's very normal to have days go by without feeling baby move. I know it sort of freaks you out to not feel it, but it's fine. Even in your 3rd trimester, you can have several hours go by without feeling the baby.

Yes it is normal. This happened to me later in my pregnancy and was really worried, went to hospital and they told me the baby is probably just tired from doing all the movement prior to that. He of course starting moving about 1/2 hour after they hooked me up to the machine!
