Well there's plenty of legitimate answers but I'd rather make up a stupid one that sounds scientific today-

When one stands up too quickly the brain is briefly robbed of necessary oxygen due to the sudden change in altitude. Sudden changes in altitude equal sudden changes in atmospheric pressure which can have grave effects on the oxygen levels in one's bloodstream and ultimately; their brain. This is why one should stand up slowly. It allows the body to gradually adjust to the change in atmospheric pressure in very much the same manner as a deep sea diver slowly resurfacing to avoid the bends.

its actually called VIRGO, and it can be cause by a number of things such as sinous infections blood preasure and so forth go to webmd.com and fill out a survey or go to a family doctor it could last very long and over time affect your everyday life such as driveing walking exctera.
