I saw a news clip today that Pete Sampras is coming back to play in his first match since his retirement in 2002. Is he coming back for good or just playing some exhibition matchup?

Oh no, why would he do that? He had so much gam left in him when he left. I mean, look at Jonas Bjorkman for instance... 34 and still going strong, and the recently retired Martina Navratilova, who came back to the WTA circuit and still winning Grand Slams despite being 50. Somehow the over-30s circuit doesn't sound the right place for Sampras.

He's playing on the over 30 Tour. That's too bad, because he could probably give Federer a serious run for his money on a Grass Court.

I think it would be terrible if Sampras came back to the ATP circuit. I'd rather remember him as the awesome player he used to be, rather than see him inevitably lose to people he'd have thrashed in his prime.
