Some universities in the UK utilise a system of 'colleges' to split up students for accomodation & union-related events. For example, Oxford and Cambridge have a number of famous colleges. The University of York also uses the college system. But what other, if any, use this system?

Mainly it is Oxford and Cambridge who have this, they have always been made up of various different colleges. However I think you will find that there are many Universities up and down the country that have other colleges incorporated into them more recently such as Art colleges and teacher training colleges. Certainly this the case for universities in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Dundee. So probably most if not all the older Universities do and probably some of the younger ones as well.

Lancaster. You'd have more fun there as well, because you wouldn't have to work as hard as you would at the others you mentioned. (But what job at the end of it?) I think Allan Milburn was in Furness College (say no more). Durham also has colleges, and there is a selection process involved. But you'd have to work hard there as well.
