Why are news people exempt from the rules?

Last night I watched a financial news program where they referred to Maria Bartiromo as a "Money Honey." If someone in business did that we would be sued so fast it would make your head spin!!

Not so much different rules, as that any mention (on TV/radio) is a good mention to some folks or companies.
