I purchased it 3 weeks ago. 107K mile, very clean (motor wise) Last week i got in it and it wouldn't start. It sputtered, but wouldn't start. my dad said it sounded like it had bad gas, so (it was nearly empty) i put some Heet in it and filled it up at a different station. It did it again today, wouldn't start, then wouldn't stay running. Any ideas on what it could be?

Change the fuel filter. this is the most common cause of the problem you described. if this does not fix have the fuel pump tested, the second most common cause.

there are 100 different things that could cause that...sense you ruled out bad fuel maybe a new fuel filter is in order...the filter can get clogged and not enough gas gets to the engine causing it to run rough and stall out...fuel filters don't run more then 20 bucks

Fuel filter is clogged, replace it. That happens when you let the tank get lower than 1/4 tank all the crud gets into the filter.

Change the fuel filters & confirm you are getting a blue-white spark, not yellow-orange at the end of the plug wires.

Could be a vacuum leak at the fuel pressure regulator.

If your car actually started but wouldnt stay running it could be a defective battery or you have a faulty alternator or other problem with your charging system.
