I'm sorry to say valentine's day weddings are over done and
un-original. I've been to 2 v-day weddings. they are beautiful, but all weddings are. be an original and avoid this, besides if you pick a different day u get v-day and anniversary gifts !:D

Irene,
Marriage is Holy. Joined together by God. Let no man put assunder. Valentines day is a satanic holiday. So No, I don't recommend it, if you want to get married because of (valentines)
If you want to get married on Feb.14 because it is the anniversary of your meeting, then that's a different story. But, don't glorify satan. Besides, why have 1 memorable occasion, when you can have 2, meeting anniversary and wedding anniversary. Your decision, this is just my opinion of what God would Bless according to His Word. Pray about it !!!!!! May God bless you both in this 2nd most important decision in your life. Accepting Christ is the 1st.
God Loves You,
Itchy

Me and my wife got married on Valentines Day! It will be four years that we have been married this year! I think its beautiful! Everyone has a right to their own opinion! I actually feel that if you really love someone deeply that it doesn't matter what day it is on! As far as the church that according to what day Valentines Day falls on and what chapel!

I got married on Valentines Day, but it was through the justice of the peace. I wanted to get married that day, hoping that my husband would remember our anniversary. I didn't work. Now we are divorced.

I know just to get married for any day could take up to one year of booking, so one can bet it would be tuff to get married on Valentine's Day.
Get married Justice Of The Peace, in a park or special place?
Maybe Las Vegas!

My sister got married on valentines day, 26 years ago. It's the same as any other day, but yes, i would definately find out in advance with church/venue because that date is a very popular date for weddings.... Also, keep in mind, especially if it lands on a friday/sat/sunday!

I think that if you want to get married on Valentine's day you should. As for a church you should have it book aleast six months before your wedding. Valentine's isn't a religious holiday so you shouldn't have any trouble with the church. I don't think it will be hard for you to get married on that day. I think it will be cute plus you can get all kinds of neat things for your wedding being that it is the holiday of love.

My wife and I married on the 16th of February because it fell on a Saturday (Valentine's Day was on a Thursday) that year. The only way it affects me is that I can combine the two days and only have to buy one present. So in that sense, it's good!

Romantic yes, but being the devil's advocate, what if you two don't work out, as many marriages don't, then after you are over you will always remember V-day as your first marriage...kinda ruins it for your next hunny. I know that the date of my first marriage (read mistake...) will always stand out in my mind as a day I royally screwed up, and I wouldn't want to celebrate a holiday with my new beau (if it was a holiday) with my ex-jerk on my mind! Think about choosing another date to get married...others were right, it's not about when you get married but if you love your husband/wife to be...

Contrary to what people say , my wife and I got married
in a church on Valentine's day and are going to celebrate
our 20th anniversary this Valentine's day. IT works for
some and I guess not for others, so you do what makes
you and him feel good and the heck with the other's
opinions.
