Just go to the iPod in iTunes, click on the name once and then click again and you'll be able to change the name to whatever you want.

I'm sorry But I dont use Itunes to download stuff for my ipod . I use a site called Myipodownloads and its pretty awesome .

you go onto MY COMPUTER when you first plug in the ipod, then just rename the device.
