Ok, so I personally hate beanie babies...i defintely didn't go into the whole craze a few years back, but some of my friends did and they got me a few for "collectors items". i have them in mint condition, in a box in my attic.....are they still worth something or should i throw these things away? they couldn't be worth that much, could they?

Some of them do have value but most are worthless. Look up the ones you have. Whatever value they have, divide by 2 and this is what you could sell them for. They won't be worth any more than they are right now unless you can hold them for 3 or 4 generations.

Donate the ones you don't want to a children's hospital.

They aren't worth much. They usually sell for about $5.00 a piece.
Just go to e-bay briefly; search for Beanie Babies, and see how many of them are offered, and what they're going for. Unless you have a rare one, give them away to a daycare or the Salvation Army, or a women's shelter. Don't just throw them away.

The market on Beanie Babies has softened a lot, so you may be beyond the peak of capitalizing on their desirability - still, look on Ebay and other sites and see what the market is bearing now. I'd plan to sell rather than trash them, if I were you...
