The universe is a concrete reality, our imagination is an abstract notion. We can not compare something concrete with another which is abstract.
However one of the characteristics of the human imagination is that it is unlimited and in that aspect it is like the universe.

Neat question. My imagination is great big... but the universe is nearly too big for my imagination... but "our imagination"- I'm going for imagination... because, in the end, imagination can take you places that the universe has no clue about!
