you can put in your credit card or debit car/check, make sure ya have the routing # and account number, i use pay pal al the time with direct debit from checking acct

it's neither, actually. You can set up your PayPal account so that it takes money from your checking or savings account, or so that it puts a charge on your credit card. You can also establish a balance IN the PayPal account itself, and pay for things from that balance.
