Both the partners should tune up themself to actually enjoy this rather then one of them playing cool.
Man/women prefers low light becose it s all nature of human being, it marks the difference bet human and animal.

I'm more of a morning girl with is awkward because my man prefers nights. Ones of us always be sleeping or running out the house.

Men have much higher levels of testostrone in the morning and they tend to be goal oriented. Women want and need low lights, romance, lots of fore play. Men just need a place. Accomodate the mornings and middle of the night encounters but let him know that you also need your needs met. Love, candle light, lots of fore PLAY, etc.

because women are more judgemental of their bodies then men are and they figure if it's at night and the lights are off, you'll be more turned on if you don't see all their little imperfections. try being more complimentary and it will go far.

but i do not think your conclusions could be true.
women are lot more sexually mature. perhaps that could be the only reason.
women always get the timing correct.
