There are some days where I just don't feel like answering the phone, no matter who is calling. So the next day, either on Yahoo Messenger or if I talk to her on the phone, she's like "I called you yesterday" kind of in a pissy tone....should I feel guilty or something????

I'm not a phone person. I can't stand just sitting around with a phone glued to my ear when I could be doing other things.

Hell No you shouldn't feel guilty. I know exactly where you are coming from. If you don't want to answer your phone, don't. That's your thing. If she can't understand that, then that's her problem.

Don't feel guilty. Just tell her you didn't have time. I even get that from my family. They claim that I never call, but last I could remember, the phone works both ways. It's not cute to have to talk to someone everyday. The moments of silence when you could be sleeping. I'm sorry you have to go through this. Just relax. DONT FEEL GUILTY!!!

NO! you should not feel guilty. Friends don't have to be there 24/7. Sometimes you need time to yourself. And don't let anyone make you feel guilty for that. Maybe she just needs attention, and is using you to make herself feel better. Friendship is not a prison.

ROCK ON GIRL. I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU AND I DO NOT THINK YOU SHOULD FEEL GUILTY. SHE COULD LEAVE A MESSAGE. I DO NOT GO ON LINE FOR WEEKS SOMETIMES. IF THEY ARE A TRUE FRIEND THEY WOULD UNDERSTAND. JUST TELL HER WHY. TRUTH IS ALWAYS BEST YOU HATE THE PHONES. IF SHE IS REALLY YOUR FRIEND SHE WILL UNDERSTAND.

No... the same thing happened to me... and this girl would call me from her work, her mom's house, her job... and she made it feel like i had the obligation to answer each and every phone call. i work and go to school, I sometimes just want to get home and unwind... she would even send me emails saying " i thought we were friends" i find that on the pshyco side... if you dont feel like talking you dont have to... you have the right to your own space.
