I really want to know if people really think that Love has a color. I am on a quest to help bring about racial reconciliation in America. I am blogging on 360 about the very issue and one of the things I have a hard time hearing is when people compartmentalize love. We use the phrases like 'Black Love' without thinking. You never hear white love or Asian love...may hear 'Latin Lover' which I think is offensive and I'm not Latino.
Personally I believe the best way to bring about racial reconciliation is to start dialoging about our issues and differences and stop stereotyping entire ethnic groups because we are too lazy or fearful to get to know any. Being a writer and newly published author I want to use my talent to shed light on these issues because it is high time that people in America wake up and really deal with these pressing issues. Read my blog as well and let me know what you think about the statements I make there.

well, if you mean are black men and women still having relationships, falling in love getting married, etc, then yes, i think so...my husbands parents were married 47 years when my father in law passed, and then you have my stepson and his wife.. just like with everyone else, black people do still marry each other.... and stay together ...and, no, i don't think love has a color, love is just love, if it did have a color, then i don't think we would marry outside our "race"

No such thing. This kind of dialogue is how we Black folks seperate ourselves from others. It's an offensive idea that hurts a considerable number of excellent Black females who end up single because they buy into the idea of Black man, Black love etc.

Why don't you realize that this is all talk. No one, will ever make every one like each other. That is why we are different, think different and do different things.
To wish that is to say, one day we are all going to get along. Who was it that said that, oh, I remember that guy that was beaten by the police and then ended up in jail anyways.
Get over it, and live your life. Let other live theirs. Be good to your neighbor and let it go.

i live in england and havent heard the term 'black love'...and your question 'does black love exist?'...are you kidding?!!!..

love is love no matter what the colour of your skin is..
and its a wonderful thing....i am not even sure if you are serious with this question? i have a feeling that you have a bit of a 'chip on your shoulder'..i am white...i love people of all colours...because beauty is in the eye of the beholder and is certainly skin deep.

love does not have a colour my friend!!..but - you are a newly published author and i really think thats fantastic...congratulations on that.

Who really cares? Love is not about racial loyalty.
