If it's the day that your period is due, or it's past that then yes you can. But you're having your period, so there is really no point. You more than likely are not pregnant.

If you are having bleeding and cramping, you could be having your period. It's also possible to bleed and cramp during prengnancy and have no problem. It might also be a sign of miscarriage. Implantation can cause light bleeding and cramping too.
You should do what will give you peace of mind. A home pregnancy test is fairly inexpensive. If you are pregnant, it will give you accurate results (as long as it's been at least 2 weeks from conception).

This is tricky..it's possible you are having an early miscarriage but will still test positive for pregnancy.I had a positive blood test a month after miscarrying. I'd go ahead and test now and if it's positive call your ob/gyn and talk to his nurse-let her know about the bleeding and everything, see what they suggest.Good luck.

I would wait. Many times women are pregnant and miscarry before they even know they're pregnant - in other words we start late. Also depends on how far along you think you are. If it's just a couple of weeks I would wait. If you're talking a couple months, then I would find out. Good Luck.

You could have started your period like everyone else has stated. However, for your own peace of mind I would go ahead and take a test. Take one in the morning. The first morning urine contains the most HCG (which determines if you are pregnant.) and should be the most accurate. Good luck!!

Buy a pregnancy kit, do not go to the doctor and test yourself, after the bleeding stops see your doctor and do the second test for you to be very sure.

It won't hurt to take a test. I'd say take the test and then go from there if you continue having cramps or pains that aren't typical for you and your period talk to your doctor. Best of luck.

you can take one now if you want as when you are pregnant, you can experience light bleeding and cramps.
if it comes back negative, take another one a few days after the bleeding stops just to make sure its definately negative.
dont get your hopes up or anything just yet, and if it comes back possitive confirm it with the docs strait away.
good luck

you can take a test, if you want to, it wont hurt anything or change the results! Now if you think you are pregnant, they recomend waiting 2 weeks after your missed period, but if your like me, it will show up!! but take a test cause if its positive something could be wrong.
