Small town girl - feeling lost in the big town ways ...?

Hi , coming from a small town .. I have never seen people going on dates or dances. Now that I have got a new job and moved to a metro town , the office arranged a dance on the new year for all the employees. * my first dance * .. it was the most exciting thing I ever witnessed in whole 28 yrs. I was not asked out for a dance but I asked a colleague to save a dance for me. He did !! Enjoyed it completely dancing in a group to wonderful music.
Now I don't have any more dances to go to. Mostly these dances are in pubs / discs. and don't have a grp of frenz to go there. Not the kind to go there alone and get to know people there coz here in big town people can be very mean.
I find my self in a situatuion where i wana dnce but no one askes me out !! At home I put the music on ... and dance !
Ive been secretly wanting to recreate that magical night ... don't wanna ask the guy out for a dance again ... it would be weird coz we r colleagues ... also he has a gf. oths don't dance lke him

- How can one be asked out for a dance !!!
- I don't wanna be the one asking guys for a dance all the time !!!
- Don't wanna wait another 28 yrs for a dance !!

I'm not understanding your question. Are you wanting info on how get get asked to dance or how to find a group of people to go out dancing with?? Please specify what your question is.

Learn salsa. Salsa clubs are much more friendly in terms of being able to go alone, being able to ask guys to dance with you, and getting asked to dance without it being skeezy. Plus it's a lot of fun.

Didn't you go to your prom? You need to start going out more a bit. Buy a dog and walk him, you'll meet a lot of guys that way. Another good place to meet guys are in church, although so many guys don't go to church anymore. Try to get out on the social scene.
