Aiden is overused, but i chose it anyway. I wanted an irish boys name to go with our whole family, so i used it. I couldn't care less what others say when i tell them. there are tons of names that are overused, but if YOU like it, use it. Don't name your boy Bob just because there are too many Andrews running around.
As time goes on, names will be more and more strange. Society will just adjust. So when it comes time to be "hired" at a job, don't think that your child won't get picked because of a weird name. I think people just expect crazy names and crazy spellings. That's the way it goes! And fine with me, i don't want to live in a world with sallys and joe's. What's the fun in that???

By overused do you mean sick of hearing? Bible names are used the most but I still love Michael, Andrew and the like. John is used a bit much though. The ones I am sick of are the "-aden's" I think of cool-aid every time. Oh well to each their own.

I work with newborns and most moms are making up their own names. It seems like anyone can through some letters together and try to pronounce it and it's a name. Poor kids will have a hard time in school.
