A good state to live in with good job opportunities is Georgia. I live in Georgia, and it is an absolutely beautiful state. Also they are building lots of new things in the state like: Hotels, the Georgia Aquarium, homes, etc. So if you are looking for a place with beautiful scenery and some southern hospitality try the state of Georgia.

Well I would say Washington DC metro area (even though it's not a state), but you might find new jobs every 2 years (congressman and senators get elected in or out of office). Not to mention this is one of the highest earning areas of the country. We got the CIA, DOD, NSA, and other government contractors that are largely based in or around DC.

Depending on what your field is. We recently drove through Wyoming. We talked to many people, as we were stuck in Rawlins with engine problems. The main agreement there was: it doesn't matter what people are good at, they can come here and easily get a job at a good pay rate.
I don't remember the reasoning, but hope this helps.
