I have had several doctors tell me they just cant tell the sex of the boy because he/she had its legs closed, can someone please tell me if this has happened to them or anyone they know? I think i am having a girl because the doctor yesterday said it might be a girl because its not cooperating and has its legs closed.

Good One! Many a couple has thought thery were having a boy or a girl only to be surprised on the day of birth. Traditional sonagrams aren't 100% accuarate. If you can get one of the new 3D sonagrams, go for it. They are more accurate and much more detailed. But if the lil guy or lil girl doesn't want to cooperate then there is nothing you can do.

Thats just an old wives tale and a really overused joke about the baby being a girl because she keeps her legs closed.
This happens all the time. Doctors can guess all they want but can't guess the sex of the baby, even sonograms have been known to be wrong.
I personally like surprises- you can wait until the moment of birth before you find out. It's always fun that way.

I don't think the fact that the baby is not cooperating and that the legs are always crossed makes it a girl. Sounds weird that your doctor would even suggest that. A friend of mine was pregnant with a boy and it never cooperated during the ultrasounds, always turned his face so nobody could see it, always moving around, not staying still to get a look. I think you should just wait and see what it is, and don't assume uncooperative means its a girl.

I had one good friend with a very stubborn baby. Two u/s the baby had its legs closed and nothing moved the baby. They finally decided it was a girl based on not seeing a penis. So they bought all girl things and then she had an u/s at 39 weeks for a fluid check and the penis "appeared" so she had to return everything and start all over.
