The engine (350) isn't running but I'm pretty sure it's an easy fix that I can do myself. The transmission and transfer case are probably bad too and to have them rebuilt will be about $1000 apiece. (Though I think I can rebuild the transfer case myself) The truck is in decent condition, it has a 4 inch lift (body though), a big grille guard with 4 8" KC lights on it, and some aftermarket rims with 33" Buckshots. I was thinking that even if it's not worth fixing that I can take the parts for my current 2wd truck and resell it for $500. Do you think it's worth it?

I would say that it is worth it for the parts. As for fixing it I would say probably not. First guess would be to try and get it running. If it will be as cheap and easy as you say. If it is get it to run. You may find it worse off then what you think. Without it running you have no clue what kind of mechanical problems the engine may have. My guess is that whoever owns it knows it has problems and doesn't want to fix it cause it will cause to much.
Best bet is use it for parts and scrap it. I would offer this person less for it too. They may be wanting to get rid of it.
Always remember if it looks and sounds to good to be true, it probably is. I will almost gaurantee you are only getting half the story as to whats wrong.

Yes, it sound like a lot of work though. Also, get a replacement truck engine & trans rather that rebuild whats there. sell off the parts you do not need and scrap the rest. you should be able to replace the engine & trans for half the cost to rebuild somthing that might be cracked or damaged. sounds like a great deal , go for it, my fiance' and I buy and resell all the time, but we would keep that one, that's a great deal for that type of truck.

You are right, it is worth it for the parts alone.
