Read this book at school, basically about a Rusian journalist that is chucked into a jail in Siberia. He decides to try and escape an try his luck with the Siberian winter rather than pine away in prison. He manages to escape and later he finds a plain wreck with some food, a novel written in Spanish and a Spanish Rusian dictionary. The story ends well with him being reunited with his family at the end. Any ideas about the name of this book?

Jacob M is wrong: Dostoevsky died in 1881, so it's pretty unlikely he wrote anything about a plane wreck.
