I totally agree! The media is filling our heads with so much junk that isn't true not to mention what comes out of that!!! Girls don't think they are perfect so the starve themselves or they don't have the perfect relationship so they get depressd! I used to be like that but i realized that it's all dumb and people shouldn't listen to the magazines and the media! Your totally right my generation is hopeless! this has probably said by members of every generation since the beginning of time. " wonder what this world is coming to. Look at the younger generation as they will never amount to anything. " then the younger generation grows up and becomes the older generation and surprise the same thing is said. this circle will be repeated countless times so I wouldn't worry if I were you.

I know this is gonna sound hokey and cheesy but this is how i feel......Here's one problem and your question itself is a great example. No one ever says 'this thing is going down the crapper and I'm part of the problem'. They always find some justification to separate themselves from what is wrong. Instead of complaining about what other people are doing really try improving yourself, and if you think theres little to improve in yourself your in pretty big trouble. Just take it in stride and instead of being angry about it, mourn it.

We only have ourselves and our parent's lack of involvement to blame. The media feeds us crap because we don't mind it, and our parents ( I am being very general...) don't seem to care...tv babysitters are much easier than playing with your child...No it's not hopeless, I say that you are listening way too much to the other side too..there are plenty of people who's voice are not heard by either faction...Nobody wants to hear the opposition.

So long as people are still realizing this on occasion, there is hope. Ours may be one of the worst, most superficial, airheaded generations ever, and i'm trying to distance myself from it.
