She is not feminine look at the part she played being the girl Brandon Teena who dressed and acted as a boy. She did ti very well. She also stars in many movies that she has to work out extremely hard for like milion dollar baby. I don't see her as totally hot or anything but not a dog or anything either. perhaps some where inbetween Masculine Lady?????

I think she's beautiful but has the kind of face that can be made to look quite masculine and unpretty should the role require it.
A bit like Charlize Theron in monster!

She's not particularly ugly. I think a lot of people think she looks a bit blokeish because they've seen her in Boys Don't Cry and the image is stuck in their heads/other people who've seen it have said she looks a bit masculine and they've gone "Mmmm, yeah I guess she does a bit."

I don't think she is a MD but she clearly is not all that feminine acting in spite of how well she cleans up. It's the movie roles we associate her with.
