Yes. Growing up as a child in a family of 5 kids I was the odd ball. I was the only skinny one, blond with blue eyes, tall for a girl, and I was a tomboy, even my brothers weren't as athletic as I was. Where my siblings were on the honor role every 6 weeks, I found school to be boring and a waste of my time and I went (from 8th grade on) twice a 6 week grade period...I made C's..Mom always said a child that showed up 20 days a year and could keep a C average had to have a few smarts in her head. Most of my family are short and dark haired, with brown or green eyes. The only reason I believed my Mom when she said I was their natural born child is a picture she has of my Grandmother, her Mother, it looks like me in old fashion clothing. The older I get the more I look like my Grandmother and one of my daughters could be my sisters child, for she is her Aunt to a "T".

Sure, I'm not like anyone else in my family. I think it was a 'switched at birth' story for me. It doesn't matter, I love my surrogate family, so It's not like I mourn the loss of my true family. Knowing myself the way I do, it's probably a blessing that I wasn't raised by people like me.
